Celebration of Chinese Cinema: Country Teachers (NR; 1:30): China is not only an emerging economic power, it is a looming giant in the world of cinema. But Chinese films rarely make it to American theaters, so Knight Mediacom International will be releasing as many as 50 of them on DVD over the next few years. The first is "Country Teachers," a 1993 social-realist drama about the challenges confronting a young rural educator.
