Tianjin is the third largest city in China. Tianjin Film studio
was founded in 1958 and has earned an impressive reputation over the past 40 years.
Since 1992, Tianjin Film Studio has produced more than 20 films and 30 TV series
and been awarded over 73 prizes in domestic and international film festivals. |

in Changsha, Xiaoxiang Film Studio (once known as Hunan Film Studio) was founded
in 1957. The studio began to produce feature films in 1980. And by the year 2000,
over 114 feature films and 124 television series were completed there. Xiaoxiang
Film Studio is rapidly becoming a more and more important figure in the Chinese
film industry. Their list of films includes many domestic and international awardwinners,
such as Postmen in the Mountains, National Anthem and Mao Zedong in 1925. |

| | Emei
Film Studio, the largest film studio in southwestern China, was founded in 1958
in Chengdu. To date, it has produced over 200 films of varying subject and style.
Many of the films have received awards at domestic film festivals and international
cultural exchanges as well. Today, Emei Film Studio is staaffed with extremely
qualified and talented personnel, and they are equipped with state of the art
cameras and audio gear. With a budget of 28 million RMB, Emei is capable of annually
producing 10 to 15 feature films, 1000 episodes of television series and dubbing
countless films from foreign countries. It is truly the biggest and most important
comprehensive production base for movies and TV shows in the southwest of China. |

| | Established in 1949, Beijing Film Studio
is one of the largest film studios in China. In the 1970's it became the first
studio in China to cooperate with foreign distributors for overseas distribution.
Since 1949, Beijing Film Studio has produced internationally acclaimed motion
pictures and has set China's industry standard for production, facilities and
talent. Internationally known directors from Beijing Film Studio include Chen
Kaige (Farewell My Concubine), Teng Wenji and Tian Zhuangzhuang. Now, under the
leadership of president Han Sanping, the Beijing Film Studio has earned the highest
level of international recognition in its long history and is raising the production
standard in the new millennium. |

| | Xi'an
is one of the oldest capitals in China. Xi'an Film Studio was founded in 1958,
and in its first 10 years, produced 19 films and received strong audience support.
During the Cultural Revolution the studio suffered: creativity was persecuted
and film production was prohibited. Between 1979 and 1989 the studio produced
93 features. Over the years, the artistic quality and technology employed at the
studio has greatly improved. A wider range of subjects, more artistic forms and
styles, and in-depth portrayal of ordinary people's lives have given the studio
a new look. Xi'an Film Studio, well-known for its Chinese "Western"
movies is well regarded internationally. In August 2000 Xi'an Film Studio became
a corporation, combining the joined forces of Xi'an Film Studio with nine other
companies related to the arts, film and broadcast. |

| | Shanghai Film Studio was
founded in 1949 and has grown into one of the three largest film studios in China.
For more than 50 years the studio has made over 600 films and been awarded over
500 prizes in domestic and international film festivals. In 1996, the Shanghai
Film and TV Group was founded, consisting of Shanghai Studio, Shanghai Film Lab,
Shanghai Film Development Company and Holiday Inn Crown Plaza Shanghai. In 1999
this group, under the direction of General Manager Zhu Yongde, opened a new 62-acre
modern equipped facility outside Shanghai for tourists and film production. |
