1983, Color, 100 mins / in Mandarin with English subtitles

Three unfortunate men are living on a raft. One was unjustly criticized and punished during the Cultural Revolution. The second has a large family to support. And the third is distressed because his fiancee is being forced to marry the new District Director. The only person who can help each of them is the former District Director who is being held in a forced labor camp. The story develops when the rafters decide to risk their lives to rescue him.
